THE ALLEY
AT ONE POST OFFICE SQUARE

The Alley is a restaurant and bar on the first floor of One Post Office Square in downtown Boston. The Morning Edition opens at seven for breakfast and cafe service, and The Main Edition carries lunch, dinner, cocktails, and wine through the day. The Wall holds 27 taps of self-pour beer and wine. The Games bring ping pong, shuffleboard, and cornhole into the evening.

Doors at seven. The bar at eleven.

A GOOD NIGHT TO GO OUT.

The Alley is built for the moment when it’s time to go out. The city is still awake, and staying in no longer feels like an option.

NOT EVERY NIGHT NEEDS A REASON

Supper, wine, cocktails, music, and a downtown room with enough old-school cool to make the night feel right.

A great evening is not always planned. Sometimes it starts with just deciding to go out.

WINE AND COCKTAILS

Eighty-Seven Bottles. Originals Well Made. Classics Well Kept.

The Alley’s eighty-seven bottle wine list moves by body, from lightest to heaviest, arranged for instinct as much as expertise.

THE MAIN EDITION

Lunch, Dinner, and the Glass Beside It.

Lunch can move quickly. Dinner can take its time. The Main Edition is built for both, with charcuterie, burgers, tacos, pizza, entrées, wine, and cocktails arranged for the table, the hour, and the appetite that brought you in.

THE MORNING EDITION

Coffee, Breakfast, and the First Great Decision of the Day.

The Alley starts before supper. The Morning Edition brings cafe service, breakfast, and the early hour into the same room that will later belong to cocktails, conversation, and the evening ahead.

THE WALL

Pour at Your Own Pace.

The Alley’s self-pour beer and wine wall gives the guest a little more authorship over the glass. A taste, a half pour, a full one. Something familiar, something less expected, and no need to commit before the evening has made up its mind.

THE GAMES

A Little Competition for the Evening.

Ping pong, and shuffleboard give the room another way to gather. A match before supper. A game after the second round. Something to do with old friends, or a way to meet new ones.
